A couple for couples

We met in Sydney – both from Salzburg, 30,000 km from home.

Our Story

We met in Sydney in 1999 – both of us from Salzburg, we apparently needed 30,000 km of distance from home to come to know one another in a way that has made us a couple since 2001 and married since 2005. We have three children and live in Salzburg.

We have pursued our vision – to support people on their path through difficult times – since 2005: at first individually, and for some years now together, as a couple for couples.

Since 2019, both of us have been listed in the WKO Expert Pool for Couples Counseling. Since 2024, we are both state-certified psychosocial counselors.

Our Foundation: Logotherapy in the Tradition of Viktor E. Frankl

Our work is grounded in logotherapy and existential analysis in the tradition of Viktor E. Frankl – also known as the “Third Viennese School of Psychotherapy”. It is an internationally recognized, empirically grounded, meaning-centered school of psychotherapy.

In logotherapy, “logos” means meaning. It is about helping each person to formulate their own values and find their own meaning – in a goal-oriented, methodical way, without persuading through logical argument.

In couples counseling, this means: together we explore why relationships are sometimes difficult – and what can be done differently at those points. The potential, what is meaningfully possible, is always at the center.
